Accreditation Statement:
Texas Nurses Association/Foundation Provider Unit is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Educational Goal:To help nurses working in primary care settings update their knowledge of cervical cancer, including HPV, prevention, screening, and treatment options.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify risk factors and preventive measures for cervical cancer.
- Discuss the natural history of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) infection.
- Identify screening guidelines for cervical cancer.
- Describe treatment options and the nurse’s role in the management of cervical cancer.
Requirements for Successful Completion To earn 1.25 contact hours of continuing education for nurses, you must:
- Read/listen to the content in this module carefully.
- At the end of the course content there will be an opportunity to take the course test. You must attain a passing score of at least 80% on the test to receive credit. If you do not pass the test, you will be notified of your score and given the opportunity to retake the test.
- Once you have successfully completed the course test, follow the prompts to complete the evaluation/registration form and print your certificate of successful completion.
This module will expire September 17, 2010.
